Our Team

Greg Smith

Pulpit Minister

Greg has served as Preaching Minister of Clarksville Highway since 2005. He graduated from Lipscomb University in 1985 with degrees in Preaching and Biblical Languages. In 1997, he received a Master of Arts in Religion from Lipscomb University. Greg is passionate about God’s Word and helping others understand it. His goal isn’t knowledge, but helping others transform to reflect the image of Christ.

Geoff Henry

Youth Minister

Geoff was raised in Roswell, New Mexico where he began his relationship with Jesus at age 4.  The summer before his junior year of high school, Geoff was called into ministry on a mission trip to Venezuela.  He followed that calling to college where he received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Youth and Family Ministry with a Minor in Child and Family Services from Abilene Christian University in May 2016.

Prior to being called to Clarksville Highway Church of Christ in October 2018, he served as Youth and Family Minister at Eastside Church of Christ in Kermit, Texas for 2 years.

Geoff is a huge sports fan, favoring the Colorado teams like the Denver Broncos. He enjoys anything that gets him outside enjoying God’s handiwork. He’s passionate about helping others and serving in any capacity he can. The best part of his job is seeing the lightbulb moment when students discover that God loves them and they enter into a relationship with their Savior.   When Geoff isn’t spending time with his wife and their two dogs, he enjoys walking alongside students and families as they discover their gifts and talents and how to use them to further God’s kingdom.

Cheryl Kilgore

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the dress code?

There isn’t one! You’ll find a wide range of apparel at Clarksville Highway from blue jeans to suits. Some dress up. Most do not. Typically, you will find us dressed in causal attire.

How do you worship?

During worship, we engage in congregational singing. Everyone is encouraged to lift up their voices and sing. We don’t care if you’re on-key or off-key. It is important that you whrship God with your voice. We choose not to use instruments in our worship.

How is Communion handled?

Every Sunday we set aside a time to observe the Lord’s Supper, or Communion. Someone will usually share a thought and offer a prayer for the bread and grape juice.

Communion is a time specifically designed to honor the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It is also a time to remember Jesus’ sacrifice for our sin and renew our commitment to discipleship.

What is Bible Class like?

We offer Bible classes for both children and adults. Discussion and questions are not only welcomed, but encrouraged. Verbal participation is optional. We will not make you feel uncomfortably or ask you to comment. Bible classes last for about 45 minutes.

Is Children's Church offered?

Yes! Every Sunday after Communion, we dismiss the children from 3 years old to 2nd grade to Children’s worship. We will make an announcement and dismiss the children with a song. Don’t worry, you won’t miss it!

Will I be greeted at the door?

Absouletly! We are a friendly church so someone will likely greet you or speak with you when you come in. They may even ask a few questions. We want to get to know you, but we will try our best not to make you feel uncomfortable. We look forward to meeting you!
